Hello
Paul - I am so sorry you have been through the mill, we shouldn't need to melt down in this way to be taken seriously though I figure that's the only way GPs know we are serious!! I think I can see a melt down coming !! I have an appointment with rheumy nurse for 24/2, got that via letter writing again. Xxx

Helen, thank you, that does help. I will go down PALS route, sooner rather than later, if I can't get things moving. Is it the GP surgery that I ask for print out of blood results? I have asked before about getting a copy but all they said was 'patients don't understand them' - got nowhere even when I said this patient understands them. I didn't know I could self refer to the consultant, I will look into it. Xxx
Thanks again for all the good advice - onwards to my appointment next week. Pat xxxxxx

Hello Gail, it was just before Christmas when I called the NRAS helpline. I got through and spoke to a lady who said there was no one available to advise me about medications. She offered to get someone to ring me back but I was tied up looking after a sick elderly relative and called when I had a free moment. Xx Pat
